Empowering Communities through Prevention

Decades of research have established that prevention is not only possible but cost-effective across a range of harms, from violence and 

exploitation to poor health outcomes and system failures. Yet too often, evidence remains trapped in academic journals while practitioners and policymakers struggle to translate findings into workable strategies. Prevention Works exists to close that gap.

We are a global consultancy, knowledge platform, and network dedicated to making prevention practical. We work with governments, 

commissioners, civil society organisations, and practitioners to move from knowing what needs to be done to understanding how to do it. Our focus spans public health approaches to harm reduction, violence prevention, youth justice, safeguarding, and cross-system collaboration.

Prevention is not a single intervention. It is a way of thinking about problems before they become crises, about people before they become 

statistics, and about systems before they fail. We bring research, policy expertise, and frontline implementation experience together because evidence without action changes nothing.
